Le Sanctuaire de Notre-Dame de La Salette is perched in the heart of the Alps at 1800 m of altitude, in the middle of the alpine pastures. September 19th, 1846, two children shepherds have seen a "Beautiful Lady" who asked them to tell their people of what just happened. After a long investigation,The bishop of Grenoble had confirmed the truth of their words.Just like that ,le Sanctuaire de La Salette has become a place of reference in le Dauphine.The natural framework , the very rich past and the cultural and religious partrimony makes an exceptional site out of it. Its notoriety is beyond the region and France.Since the day of the apparition, every year tens of thousands of pilgrims and visitors climb the mountain to get to this place and enjoy a captivating halt of peace: Home, liturgy, restaurant, hotel, museum, gift shop, library, shows...
